3 Famous Parks in Bucharest

As a capital of Romania, Bucharest offers to its visitors various attractions and experiences. And although most of the people may know Bucharest as a cultural destination filled with old neoclassical buildings, the city has some more to offer to its guests.

The old buildings and the French-like atmosphere, as well as the amazing Bucharest hotels, make of the city the perfect destination for romantic holidays. But except these factors there is something more. There are a few very beautiful parks in the Romanian capital, which are perfect for young couples in love to have a walk. Today I'm going to present to your attention three of them:
  1. The first one is the Carol I Park. It is a large park, designed by the French landscape architect Eduard Redont in 1900s, which contains a massive monument, where the remains of the communist leader Gheorge Gheorgiu Dej were once kept. The park offers pleasant walks and a lot of photo opportunities.
  2. Herastrau Park is situated on about 400 acres and houses a lot of attractions, such as tennis courts, boat rental complex, etc. If you take a ride around the lake on the ferry or rent your own boat, you will be able to enjoy a splendid overview of the park.
  3. The Botanical Garden was opened in 1891. It contains more than 5,000 varieties of plants from Romania and all around the world. Visitors can also see the Botanical Garden Museum, which has a very beautiful Brancovenesc architectural style building.
So, if you are already staying some Bucharest hotel, and you are tired of culture, then go and have a walk among nature.
