If it's one thing Parisian bars do well, it's capturing that exciting, yet elusive bohemian vibrancy that make them such compelling places to spend an evening. In reality all it takes is for a joint to play good music, sell reasonably priced drinks and have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Sadly this simple concept is one that is fast being lost in most major cities, but there are a few little gems still clinging on in Paris. Here are just a few:

Kayak Scotland
Since I had taken a brief introductory course on kayaking, I felt as though I was up for the challenge of exploring Scotland's coastline by sea kayak. Although I did feel quite confident in my paddling skills, I felt it necessary to hire a tour guide for this adventure, as I was unfamiliar with the area;

Misconceptions
Biking around the reservoir in Derby, England, is a great way to spend an afternoon. I first came across this particular location while conducting research into cheap hotels in Derby and was quite surprised that the city had such an attraction.
